VNC behind a firewall

I've installed a WatchGuard SOHO firewall at a client's office. I've opened
up ports 5800 - 5801 and 5900 - 59001. I have forwarded all requests to the
VNC server (which is using a 192.168.x.x IP Address), but each time I
receive the error: "Failed to connect to server".

I was able to reach the server BEFORE installing the firewall, but not since
then.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using static IP for the LAN? Check the manual on how to set up a
web server, then double check that your settings for VNC are comparable.
You may be missing something.

Where are you trying to test from? There was a note on the SMC page that may
apply - Port forwarding doesn't work when you access the external IP from the
inside of the firewall.

What you have described should work.

Sometimes it helps to do something to convince yourself that tunneling is
working at all -- like telnet.

This is a bit off topic, but remember that "...once you are connected
traffic between the viewer and the server is unencrypted, and could be
snooped by someone with access to the intervening network."

Regards,
Mark
